Picture the Recipe - Great recipes with lots of pictures

It has been awhile since I shared a cooking site so I figured I was overdue. Picture the Recipe is a food site that is visually appealing and informative. The site's author, Noreen, describes herself as the "ultimate foodie" who loves experimenting with recipes and takes pictures of the food at restaurants. She turned her food passion into this great website that shares well photographed recipes as well as other tips and information. If cooking is your passion or you simply want great ideas, you should definitely head over to Picture the Recipe to see the great things Noreen has for you.

All Things Cooking Infographic Collection

Soda Pic is a blog that likes to share cool things they find on the web. While there are many great things to be found on their blog I really liked this collection of 22 infographics that contain just about anything you need to know about cooking. Conversion charts, cooking utensil information, proper cooking times, spices, meat cuts, barbecuing, cooking methods, and the list goes on. This collection of infographics contains enough information to conduct a beginning level cooking class only you aren't paying a dime. If you teach cooking at any level, you will want to add this page to your web page for your students to access. If you enjoy cooking, or know someone who does, you will want to share Soda Pic's cooking infographic collection.

Math, Science, Writing, and Great Recipes

Brain Genie is an educational site based around improving math and science knowledge and skills. The site is intended for all grade levels and has thousands of lessons, games, and videos to guide students in mastering math and science. The site is free to join and will keep track of student progress and even provides reports, assignments, a gradebook, and awards. This site is a fantastic resource for students to use and teachers to share.

Writing is hard work but it is also very rewarding and can even be fun. 750 Words is a site that recognizes all these things and wants you to start writing. The site is built around the idea that starting your day by writing is a good way to clear your thoughts and improve your thinking throughout the day. It encourages you to attempt three pages (yes pages) of writing every morning but the writing can be about anything and your writing is always private. The purpose is to cleanse your mind and start your day without mental clutter. You are awarded points for your writing to help motivate you. The site is free so there is no reason not to look it over and learn more.

Old Photos of Gadget Recipes?

With my Pinterest cravings now satisfied, I am back to sharing my collection of unique websites I have hoarded. This post is comprised of a gadget shoppers dream site, another excellent cooking site, and an amazing collection of old pictures that will appeal to lovers of  history and photography.

First up is This is why I am broke, which is a site where you can purchase some of the coolest and most unique gadgets available. While I can't say I have ever bought anything, I love to browse their extensive collection of amazing products. If you would like to buy something unique for a friend or loved one, This is why I am broke is a site worth checking out.

Next there is this promising looking cooking site called Table Spoon. This site features a large collection of great recipes which are categorized by type of meat, cuisine, courses, diet, method, and occasion. In addition to their recipes they also feature a coupon section to assist your wallet as you shop for the necessary ingredients.

Finally there is this post from Denver Post photo blog. It is a photo gallery of 77 pictures of American cities before 1950. Many of the pictures are from the 19th century and go as far back as the Civil War era. These pictures are a "must see" for history buffs and fans of old photography.
